Mother's Day is a day for mums to stop what they normally do, take a breather from the daily grind and relax.

For New Zealanders it takes place on the second Sunday of May.

In the UK the date is celebrated on Mothering Sunday in March. Around the world Mother’s Day is celebrated on 35 different dates during the year. But whatever the date the idea behind the day is the same - celebrating your mum and mothers from all cultures.

Whether it's your mother, step-mum, grandmother, mother-in-law, or an inspiring female in your life they all like to be made to feel special, at least for one day in the year.

Here's a few Mother's Day suggestions your mum may enjoy.
