Popular sports brand Nike is set to release a new line of women's hijabs in February.

The company is looking to team up with Muslim athletes to release its new Victory swimsuit.

The $600 swimsuit provides full-body coverage along with a hijab. The fabric is designed to be lightweight and breathable.

The design is meant to serve a "variety of needs" from sun protection to modesty preferences.

The swim collection "represents Nike's commitment to inclusive design, providing more women with game-changing innovation to enjoy sport", the company said in a statement.

The line, which first launched in 2017, aimed at Muslim women athletes proved to be a success.

Emirati figure skater Zahra Lari told media she was "thrilled" and "emotional" to see Nike prototyping a hijab.

"I've tried so many different hijabs for performance, and so few of them actually work for me. But once I put it on, I was blown away by the fit and the light weight."
