A new challenge sweeping social media has proven that while in the midst of COVID-19 alert level 4 lockdown, anything can be used as a dress.

If you've been scrolling through your newsfeed in the past few days, you've probably seen the 'pillow challenge' pop up, where creative people use bedding to create an outfit.

The trend involves cinching a pillow in the waist with a chunky belt, and accessorising to your heart's content. It's business in the front and a decidedly nude party in the back.

The hashtag #pillowchallenge has almost 200,000 posts on social media, with results varying from super sexy to downright hilarious.

Here are some of our favourite looks:

Hollywood A-lister Halle Berry got in on the fun this week, posting a picture on Instagram of her own black pillow channeling an LBD.

"You already KNOW you couldn’t keep me from the pillow challenge," she captained the post.

Her sexy shot inspired our own Edge radio host Dom Harvey, who absolutely nailed the challenge.

While it's a pretty fabulous look for Zoom drinks with the girls, we wouldn't advise this one for heading out of the house once lockdown lifts - although you'd be guaranteed to get some attention.
