One Instagram influencer has come under fire for thinking coffin-side at her mother's funeral was the perfect place for a quick snap.
Now she's been branded "tasteless" and "shallow" by the internet after posting the posed photo to her Instagram account, with the caption: "I love you mommy."
While the woman's face has been blurred to protect her identity, it's clear she's resting her chin on her hand looking down at her mother, who is lying in an open casket.
The post was subsequently screenshotted and posted to the 'Trashy' sub-Reddit, which according to its description is the home of "trashy stories, trashy glamour, all things fake, plastic and downright trashy".
"Why live in the moment when you can live in a facade?" one person commented.
"Horribly tasteless… but gotta get those likes," agreed another.
"I can honestly say that if my kids post a photo of dead me to social media I will haunt their asses," joked a third.
It's not the first time an Instagram influencer has drawn the ire of the internet.
Earlier this year an Australian influencer was forced to defend herself after being accused of breaching Perth's lockdown rules.
