A UK TikTok user living in New Zealand has revealed the "most confusing thing" about Aotearoa.

The British man, who goes by the username @itscurlsbaby, shared a video on his TikTok account about how he was so confused by the supermarket he shops at packing his shopping for him.

"When you go into a supermarket called New World they pack your bag for you," he said in the video.

The man then goes on to say: "If that wasn't weird enough, here's my question when they're doing that - what are you supposed to do?"

Several users commented on what he could do while he waited for them to pack his bags.

"Haha just watch and make sure they don't squash your bread," one user commented.

Another user said: "That's the few minutes trying to eyeball your kids to be good lol."

A third said: "Go through your wallet or purse to get [your] money or card."

The man admitted when he first realised New World did this he tried to tip the checkout operator $2 as he thought the supermarket was doing it to raise money for charity.

The TikTok user said he was even more baffled when the supermarket worker told him people shop at Pak'nSave because they can pack and save.

"I just thought you get money off for just doing normal shopping," he said.

The TikTok user thought it was incredibly bizarre the supermarket did this.

"This is nuts. How are you meant to act when they are packing your bags? I am losing my mind," he said.

The TikTok video has been viewed over 100,000 times.
