Channing Tatum avoids carbs as they make his face 'really fat'

Channing Tatum has revealed that he avoids eating carbs as they make his face "really fat, really fast".

During an interview for Vanity Fair, the Magic Mike actor admitted that the doesn't eat much bread because carbohydrates can impact his appearance.

"My face gets really fat, really fast," he explained.

The father-of-one also recalled how he and his ex-wife Jenna Dewan once hired a vegan chef who dished up a lot of bread-heavy meals.

"I just got fatter and fatter and fatter," the 42-year-old laughed.

Meanwhile, in a lie detector test for the outlet, Tatum was questioned over whether he perfected the "smize", or smiling with his eyes - a term coined by Tyra Banks - when he was working as a model in the early 2000s.

"I don't know if I perfected it, but I worked. I didn't have to wait tables," he continued, adding that Banks remains the "queen" of the smize. "I don't think many people smize better than her."
