If you have an ex who is still bugging you, a zoo in Texas has the perfect solution this Valentine's Day.

The San Antonio Zoo has brought back its popular 'Cry Me A Cockroach' fundraiser, where for between US$5-$25 you can name a cockroach, rat or piece of vegetable after an ex-partner and feed it to an animal.

It marks the second year the zoo has put on the fundraiser after it went viral in 2023, bringing in much-needed funds.

The donations can be made online from anywhere in the world and donors receive a digital Valentine's Day card celebrating the act of something named after your ex being devoured by an animal.

Those with a real bone to pick can choose an upgrade for US$150 and a special video will be sent to the former flame showing the cockroach, rodent or veggie being consumed by an animal.

The fundraiser was a big hit last year and this year is set to be even bigger.

"Right now, we are on track to break last year's record, with 'Zach', 'Ray' and 'Adam' being the most submitted ex-names so far," Zoo Director of Public Relations Cyle Perez told ABC.
