Two Lotto players bag $500k, 14 win over $15k - here's where the winning tickets were sold

Kiwis all around New Zealand will be celebrating on Thursday morning after 16 Lotto players won with Wednesday night's draw. 

Two players from Porirua and Otago will be waking up happy after each winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division.

The winning tickets were sold at Pak N Save Porirua and on MyLotto to a player from Otago.

It wasn't just First Division where there were winners with 14 players from around New Zealand each bagging $15,127 in the Lotto Second Division draw on Wednesday night.

The winning tickets were purchased at MyLotto in Whangarei, Auckland, Waikato, Ashburton, and Southland, Pt Chevalier Lotto Plus in Auckland,  Springfield Superette & Lotto in Rotorua, New World New Plymouth, Paper Plus Select Pahiatua and Quarry Food Market in Dunedin.

Two players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $20,617. The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at Paper Plus Select Pahiatua and on MyLotto to a player from Southland.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said. 

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night's draw has rolled over to $5 million, and Strike Four will be $500,000.
