Lotto: One player wins $1 million - here's where the winning ticket was sold

A Whakatāne Lotto player's week is about to be made $1 million better after winning the First Division in Wednesday night's draw.

The winning $1 million ticket was sold at Paper Plus Whakatāne.

Though Lotto's massive $17 million Powerball was not struck on Wednesday and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be a huge $20 million.

Another lucky Lotto player won $600,000 in Lotto's Strike Four. Lotto said the winning Strike ticket was sold at Countdown Victoria Ave in Whanganui.

Lotto is urging anyone who bought their ticket from the listed addresses to check them "as soon as possible" in-store or through the MyLotto App.
