Lotto: Two players share $1 million, Napier punter claims $200,000 – where the winning tickets were sold

Two lucky Lotto players will be waking up $500,000 richer on Thursday morning after winning First Division on Wednesday night.   

The winning tickets were sold on MyLotto to players from Masterton and Christchurch City.  

The winning numbers were 1, 2, 16, 21, 33 and 40. The bonus ball was 39 and the Powerball was 9.   

Powerball was not struck on Wednesday evening and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $8 million.  

One lucky Strike player from Napier will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Strike Four.   

The winning Strike ticket was sold at Andrew Spence Pharmacy to a player from Napier.  

Meanwhile, eight Lotto players will be celebrating a midweek windfall after each winning $25,781 with Second Division on Wednesday.   

One lucky player also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $38,535.  

The winning Powerball Second Division ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland. The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Auckland, Manukau, Papatoetoe, Morrinsville, Marlborough, Christchurch, Oamaru and Invercargill.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from the above store or on MyLotto should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
