Lotto: Rotorua player wins $1 million, another punter claims $34,000 – where winning tickets were sold

A lucky Rotorua Lotto player will be waking up $1 million richer after winning First Division on Saturday night.  

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Rotorua. 

The winning numbers were 8, 16, 25, 29, 31 and 37. The bonus ball was 12 and powerball was 9.  

Powerball was not struck on Saturday evening and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $6 million. Strike Four has also rolled over and will be $700,000 on Wednesday night. 

Meanwhile, 13 lucky players will be pinching themselves after each winning $19,186 with Lotto Second Division on Saturday night.  

One lucky player also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $34,718. The winning Powerball Second Division ticket was sold at Paper Plus Meadowbank in Auckland.  

The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Auckland, Thames, Waihi, Hamilton, Mount Maunganui, Whakatāne, Christchurch, Port Chalmers, Balclutha and Canterbury.

"Anyone who bought their ticket on MyLotto should check their ticket as soon as possible on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
