A woman has been arrested in relation to the death of a man in Manurewa this morning.
Police were called to an address in the south Auckland suburb at 4:52am on Wednesday morning. They discovered a 56-year-old man with critical injuries at the scene.
CPR was administered but he died of his wounds.
A 57-year-old woman was arrested later on Wednesday in relation to the death. She will appear in the Manukau District Court on Thursday, facing a charge of assault with a weapon.
Police say she was known to the victim.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted on Thursday.
