National Remembrance Service for victims of the Christchurch terror attack

Dignitaries from the Muslim community, the Prime Minister and celebrities including Yusuf Islam - better known as Cat Stevens - paid tribute to the victims of the Christchurch terror attack during a National Remembrance Service.

Fifty people were killed in the attack on March 15, when a lone gunman opened fire on worshippers at the Masjid Al Noor mosque and Linwood Mosque.

It was the worst terror attack in New Zealand's history.

The service, held at Hagley Park, was for Kiwis to remember the victims of the attack.
