You might, with a bit of luck, be shivering slightly less this weekend.
Much of the country suffered in sub-zero temperatures this week, but many can expect highs in the mid to late teens on Friday.

Auckland has been told to expect some rain before clearing in the afternoon, with a high of 17C.
"After that cold start to June, temperatures have recovered nicely," National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) said on Facebook.
And the next few weeks are set to have plenty of sunshine.
"The mornings will be crisp, the afternoons will be mild."
WeatherWatch said the country would see a "fairly settled" Saturday.
Saturday is however the winter solstice - the shortest day of the year - meaning the days through to the end of winter will be getting longer.
Morning lows for main centres on Saturday: Dunedin, Hamilton, Christchurch 4C; Wellington 7C; Auckland 8C.
As for the Kiwis v Tonga rugby league test at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland on Saturday, the weather will be fine with cloudy periods and light winds. By kickoff at 5:40pm, temperatures will be about 13C.
