Two people sustained serious injuries in two separate crashes in Christchurch on Tuesday afternoon.
A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in a hotel car park on Deans Ave about 2pm.
Shortly after, a second person was injured when the vehicle they were driving crashed into a commercial building on Antigua Street, about 2:20pm.
A WorkSafe spokeswoman confirmed to Newshub it was notified of the Antigua St incident.
"We are making initial inquiries to establish what our next steps will be."
A police statement said the Serious Crash Unit has been advised of both crashes, and officials are working to determine the circumstances.
