A police operation has unfolded in Northland and cordons have been put in place.
The operation is due to a person who is wanted for arrest, a police spokesman told Newshub.
Officers are at the scene on Western Hills Dr, near Caltex and Burger King, and traffic is being diverted, police said.
A worker at the Caltex told Newshub people couldn't get out or in, and there are lots of police vehicles.
Northland Police said on Facebook that people were urged to avoid the area.
Schools in the area have been notified by police as a precaution.
