Tegel has issued a recall notice for its crumbed chicken burgers after small pieces of metal wire were found inside the packs.
Anyone with a 1kg bag of the burgers batch in their freezer with the serial number 19259 should immediately throw it away said Tegel in a statement.
Customers can call 0800 244 2536 for a refund voucher.
The recall is isolated to one batch, and there have been no reports of injuries, said a Tegel spokesperson. However, anyone concerned about their health is urged to contact a medical professional.
"Consumer safety is of utmost importance," said the spokesperson on Friday.
"Any concerns will be taken seriously and we will be investigating."
