Coronavirus: Details of New Zealand's latest 40 COVID-19 cases

Details of New Zealand's latest COVID-19 cases have been released by the Ministry of Health.

There were 40 new cases announced on Tuesday, bringing the country's total to 155.

Included in that total number is 13 probable cases, which the Ministry of Health is treating as though they're confirmed.

It was also confirmed there are four cases of community transmission - three in Auckland and one in Wairarapa.

Auckland

  • A man in his 40s who had travelled from the US to Auckland, arriving on March 18. Flight details to come.
  • A man in his 20s. More details to come.
  • A woman in her 30s. More details to come.
  • A man in his 40s who arrived in Auckland on March 18. Flight details to come.
  • A woman in her teens. More details to come.
  • A woman in her 30s. More details to come.
  • A woman in her 20s who arrived in Auckland on March 20. Flight details to come.
  • A woman in her 30s who arrived in Auckland on March 18. Flight details to come.

Dunedin

  • A woman in her 30s with no international travel history. She was exposed at the World Herefords Conference in Queenstown.
  • A man in his 60s who had travelled from Europe via the US. He flew from London to Los Angeles on March 14, then Los Angeles to Auckland on flight NZ5, and finally Auckland to Dunedin on March 16 on flight NZ671.
  • A Dunedin man in his 30s who flew from Dubai to Auckland on flight EK447, arriving on March 19. He then flew from Auckland to Dunedin on March 19 on flight JQ285.

Christchurch

  • A woman in her 60s who is a relative of a confirmed case.
  • A man in his 60s who is also a relative of a confirmed case.

Hawke's Bay

  • A man in his 70s who travelled from Barcelona to Napier via Dubai and Auckland. He arrived in Auckland on March 18 on flight EK448, and then flew to Napier on March 19 on flight NZ5021.
  • A woman in her 70s who also travelled from Barcelona to Napier via Dubai and Auckland. She also arrived in Auckland on March 18 on flight EK448, and then flew to Napier on March 19 on flight NZ5021.

Marlborough

  • A man in his 30s. More details to come.

  • A woman in her 80s. More details to come.

New Plymouth

  • A woman in her 60s. More details to come.

Otago

  • A woman in her 50s with no international travel history. She was exposed at the World Herefords Conference in Queenstown.
  • A Queenstown teenager. He travelled from Dubai to Auckland on March 18 on flight EK448. He then flew from Auckland to Queenstown on March 19 on flight EK7563.

Waikato

  • A woman in her 60s who flew from Dubai to Auckland on March 16 on flight EK0448.
  • A man in his 50s with no international travel history. He was exposed at the World Herefords Conference in Queenstown.

Wairarapa

  • A woman in her 20s. More details to come.

  • A man in his 20s who departed Switzerland on March 16 and flew via Abu Dhabi to New Zealand on flight EY0052.
