Two people have died after a serious crash on Patea Road in South Taranaki.
The road has reopened four hours after the crash was reported on Thursday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the two-car crash on State Highway 3 between Patea and Waverly at 10:30am.
One person was transported to Whanganui Hospital by helicopter.
Three ambulances attended the crash along with Fire and Emergency and police.
