Police have arrested a sixth person in connection with the death of Wellington man Rau Tongia.

The 47-year-old woman was charged with being a party to murder on Thursday and will appear in court on Friday.

The woman joins two others, who's names are suppressed, who have also been charged with being party to murder.

Twenty-four year old woman Shayde Weston is charged with Tongia's murder, and 20-year-old Phoenix Kahurangi Colvin has been charged with being accessory after the fact.

A 19-year-old Porirua man has also been charged - he was granted interim name suppression on Monday.

Tongia was found dead in the driveway of a Karori property last on 20 December.

Police had already been to the house once that night for a disorder incident. They say the investigation into Tongia's murder is on-going, and anyone with further information should contact police on 105.
