A truck has crashed into a power pole in Auckland, knocking down lines and closing a section of busy road.
The crash happened on Porana Road in Hillcrest on Thursday afternoon, a police spokesperson told Newshub. Power lines remain down following the crash and are blocking the street.
Auckland Transport (AT) says the section of Porana Road, which is situated between Sunnybrae Road and Silverfield Lane, was closed at around 2:50pm due to the collision.
There have been no injuries and police say the road will remain closed until power contractors have cleared the lines.
In a tweet, AT asked drivers to "follow directions of emergency services on-site and be prepared for delays".
