Police are investigating a drive-by shooting near Whangārei.
At about 6:30pm on Friday, a house on Brunner Terrace, Kamo, Whangārei was the subject of a drive-by shooting, Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Aaron Crawford says.
People were inside the house at the time, but no one was injured.
"Shortly afterwards a stolen white Toyota Hiace van was found well ablaze at the end of Lewis St in Kamo. Police are also investigating this vehicle arson and believe it may be linked."
Police are seeking sightings of the van with registration CEA315. It was stolen from Pataua North on Friday afternoon prior to the Brunner Terrace incident.
"We are also appealing for anyone who witnessed either the shooting incident or the van arson, or anyone who has information that would assist us, to contact Police.
