Police release photos of suspects in brazen jewellery heist, urge public to come forward with information

Police have released photos of two men accused of a brazen aggravated robbery in Waitakere over the weekend.

The two men allegedly rushed into a Michael Hill jewellery store and stole a significant amount of jewellery, as well as a number of personal items such as bags.

A staff member told Stuff the pair could have stolen up to $100,000 worth of goods.

The pair then fled in a nearby vehicle which has since been located - however, the men are still at large.

Detective senior sergeant Mike Frost says one man was wearing a distinctive black hoodie with a large logo on it and the other a grey jacket and yellow gloves.

Frost is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact police on 105.
