Two people are in hospital and two others arrested after a serious assault in west Auckland overnight.
Police say two people entered an address on Evans Rd, Glen Eden, around 2am and attacked two people inside.
Both are in hospital, one with serious injuries.
"The offenders have stolen a vehicle from the property and driven away from the scene," said Det Snr Sgt Nadene Richmond.
"As a result of immediate enquiries, an address was cleared on Coburg St in Henderson where two arrests were made. Enquiries are ongoing and charges are expected to be laid."
The people involved are known to each other and no one else is being sought, she added.
"Scene examinations will be taking place this morning at both addresses and there will be an ongoing police presence in the area."
