Hastings Police have arrested Hendrix Rawiri Jury in relation to a shooting that took place in broad daylight in Christchurch.
The 27-year-old was wanted by police in relation to a shooting in the Christchurch suburb of Linwood on August 30.
Rawiri has been taken into custody without incident and will face further charges.
A police spokesperson said the charges are being finalised and Jury will appear in the Hasting's District Court on Friday.
Jury has been on the run from police for almost a month now. Police at the time warned the public the 27-year-old is "extremely dangerous".
His arrest comes after a man was seriously injured after being shot in both legs.
