Two people are in hospital after reportedly being stabbed in a small Northland town near the Bay of Islands.
Police were called to a property on Ngawhitu Road, Moerewa at about 3:48pm.
"Two people were flown to Whangārei hospital with moderate injuries," a police spokesperson told Newshub.
One person is in custody.
The spokesperson said police are in the very early stages of their investigation and are currently working to establish the circumstances of what has occurred.
According to Stuff, the pair were stabbed, however, police could not confirm this.
