The 12-year-old Auckland girl who has been missing for nearly a week has made contact with her family.
The girl was last seen at her home in the Bucklands Beach area on Friday, police said on Wednesday.
"While we do not have immediate concerns for her safety, we are still concerned that she is in the company of persons much older than herself," police said in an update on Thursday.
"We would still like to speak with her."
