Batches of a popular Kiwi dip by Lisa's have been recalled ahead of Christmas due to a labelling fault.

Lisa's chargrilled capsicum has been incorrectly labelled and instead contains the beetroot with cashews flavour.

Capsicum hummus products with a use-by date of 07/01/2024, 13/01/2024 and 21/01/2024 will contain beetroot dip.

Due to incorrect labelling, the expected orange dip of the capsicum flavour will be a bright purple colour instead.

Those with nut allergies are warned the dip will contain cashews and therefore, should take caution due to the "presence of an undeclared allergen tree nut", the Ministry for Primary Industries said.

The recall doesn't affect any other Lisa's brand products.
