Horticulture NZ: 'Keep an eye on the people around you who may be struggling'

The group representing the horticulture industry has advised it members to look out for anyone struggling in the aftermath of the Christchurch massacre.

In its latest industry newsletter, Horticulture NZ Chief Executive, Mike Chapman said his thoughts were with anyone affected.

"Horticulture is a multi-cultural industry and this is one of its great strengths and something we can celebrate," he said.

"The impacts of the massacres in Christchurch on Friday will no doubt have affected some people in our industry," Chapman said.

He urged anyone struggling to cope to reach out.

"Please seek help if you need it and keep an eye on the people around you who may be struggling with this traumatic event."
