A new report called "living after midnight" has been released showing New Zealand seriously lacks when it comes to nightlife.
New Zealand's way of regulating nightlife often restricts the opportunities for night owls. and had made nights overly tedious without improving public health and safety.
It says some of our troubles are due to regulations, meaning cities have neither the right tools of incentives to work out their vision for a more thriving nightlife.
