Six weeks after the Cricket World Cup final, Blackcaps batsman Martin Guptill has revealed he's only just managed to escape the daily reminders of the heartbreak suffered at Lord's.
Guptill's one of nine players who have joined the New Zealand team for their three-match T20 series in Sri Lanka - their first white-ball cricket since the countback loss to England in the one-day final.
The opener has been playing for Worcestershire in the English T20 league and the local fans haven't missed the chance to remind him about his role in the Cup final.

"I got a bit of stick from the crowd as well, but you know, I think it was actually everywhere I went," he admits. "Even home games, I got a bit of stick, so look, it's just something you've got to put up with.
Guptill had an unhappy run of form through the World Cup, capped by a pivotal role in the final, where he was run out, attempting a winning run on the final ball of the 'super over' tiebreak.
During the England innings, Guptill also had a throw at the stumps deflect off the bat of Ben Stokes and run to the boundary for four overthrows - one of the key moments of the match.
All three of the Blackcaps T20 matches against Sri Lanka are in Kandy, starting on Sunday.
