Three more Grand Slam champions have been added to a talent-rich women's field for the 2020 ASB Classic in Auckland.

Caroline Wozniacki, Jelena Ostapenko and Svetlana Kuznetsova will all return to No.1 Tennis Lane, bolstering the highest-quality draw in tournament history.

The trio joins 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams and 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu, teenage sensation Coco Gauff, defending ASB Classic champion Julia Georges and French Open semi-finalist Amanda Anisimova.

Tournament director Karl Budge has labelled the field "staggeringly strong".

"There is so much depth," Budge said. "Our second-to-last entry was the gold medallist from Rio [Monica Puig].

"Players such as [Caroline] Garcia, [Daria] Kasatkina and Carla Suares-Navarro have all been in or just outside the top 10 for some time, yet will be unseeded here in Auckland.

The current field includes 164 combined WTA titles, while 21 of the 24 main-draw competitors have won tournaments, including third seed Petra Martic, who had deep runs at both Wimbledon and the US Open in 2019.

"The ASB Classic has become a staple part of the Kiwi summer and this year is no different," Budge noted. "From the returning champions through to some of the newer faces, we're always excited to see who will be contesting the title.

"The announcement today of a further three Grand Slam champions really cements this as one of the best line-ups we've seen here at the ASB Classic."
