Super Rugby 2020: Crusaders breeze past limp Blues at Eden Park

The Crusaders have extended their winning streak over the Blues to 11, scoring a 25-8 win over the Auckland-based side at Eden Park.

14-straight points from the red and blacks propelled them to their second win of the season and handed the Blues their second loss - both coming at home.

Blues captain Patrick Tuipulotu opened the scoring after a crossing over off the back of a storming run from Stephen Perofeta.

But the three-time defending champions hit back with a try of their own, Jack Goodhue producing a glorious offload to set up George Bridge to score in the corner.

Two David Havili penalties separated the sides at half-time, the visitors leading 11-5.

The Crusaders found their straps in the second half, running in two unanswered tries.

Richie Mo'unga produced a skilful effort to slice through the defence and score - he was involved in the final try too, gathering a Goodhue chip before handing it back to the second-five who scored.

The Crusaders host the Highlanders next Friday, while the Blues face the Bulls in Pretoria

Crusaders 25 (George Bridge, Jack Goodhue, Richie Mo'unga tries David Havili 2 cons 2 pens) Blues 8 (Patrick Tuipulotu try Harry Plummer pen)
