Boxing: Evander Holyfield declares 'I'm back' in training video

Former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield has released a training video on Twitter, fuelling speculation that he could come out of retirement to face archrival Mike Tyson in the ring.

A day after Tyson posted a workout video declaring he was back, Holyfield followed suit, posting his own workout video Wednesday (NZ time) and saying he was also back.

Holyfield shows clips of his first week back working out in the gym, jumping rope and throwing punches, as he prepares to get back into the ring.

Now-57-year-old 'Real Deal' fought two epic bouts with the now-53-year-old Tyson during their professional careers, including their controversial 1997 encounter, where Tyson bit off a chunk of Holyfield's ear.

"My first week back in the gym and I feel great," tweets Holyfield, the only four-time heavyweight champion in boxing history.

"I'm looking forward to stepping up my training sessions and intensity as I prepare for my fight."

Tyson retired after a loss to Kevin McBride in 2005, while Holyfield called time on his career nine years later.

In a recent interview with the Sun, Holyfield expressed interest in facing Tyson.

"Yes, I want to fight Mike Tyson," Holyfield said. "My whole thing is I'm open and I know that I want to do well for myself at age 57.

"I can definitely handle him, but Mike would have to want to do it as well."
