Live updates: Mitre 10 Cup - Hawke's Bay v Counties Manukau, Manawatu v Otago, Auckland v Wellington

Live coverage has finished

Wrap: That's us all done a dusted for the day. The standout performer for me was TJ Perenara. The Wellington No.9 controlled the game from the outset and kept his side in the front foot.

Sunday results
Hawke's Bay 31 bt Counties-Manukau 17
Otago 36 bt Manawatu 25
Wellington 39 bt Auckland 21

Auckland 21   Wellington 39
Wellington 39 (Aso x2, Umaga-Jensen, Patafilo, Proctor, Goosen tries, Garden-Bachop 4con, 1pen)
Auckland 21 (Apisai, Clarke, Ruru trues, Plummer 2con) HT 29-14

Fulltime - That's a wrap. Wellington clearly the better side. Auckland played brainless rugby at times and never looked up for the challenge.

78mins - Auckland hot on attack as time runs down, looking for a consolation try. Mistake from To'avao and Wellington have a scrum.

76mins - Lineout 5m for Auckland.

73mins - Try Wellington: Vince Aso - The Lions play through a couple of phases ... Perenara sets the backline awat with a nice pass that has Aumua in the gap ... he offloads to Aso who sprints away to score. WEL 39-21

72mins - Lineout for Wellington 20m out from the tryline after another brainless penalty given away by the homeside.

68mins - Scrum for the Lions midway halfway and 22 Auckland territory. The game was in the balance before Sotutu's dumb quick tap. Lacked game awarness and that's worrying from an All Black in the making.

66mins - Brainless play from Sotutu .... under advanatge and the referee blows the whistle again, but Sotutu quick taps and knocks the ball on over the line. The penalty try was coming for sure and he had a brain explosion.

64mins - Two straight scrum penalties......must be close to a penalty try here. Another scrum 5m.

61mins - Penalty for Auckland in front of the sticks. Ardie Savea pinged for playing the ball on the ground. Faiane opts for the scrum 5m.

60mins - Penalty goal Wellington: No mistake form the Lions No.10. WEL 32-21

59mins - Kirifi wins a turnover penalty for the Lions in a kickable spot and Garden-Bachop will have a shot.

58mins - Long stoppage in play with Wellington prop Alex Fidow down injured.

56mins - Wellington allowing Auckland back into the game with some terrible discipline. Another penalty for Auckland just outside halfway.

55mins - Try Auckland: Caleb Clarke - Powerful scrum from Auckland. Ruru off the back and it goes through the hands and Clarke runs in to score. WEL 29-21

52mins - Penalty in front of the sticks for Auckland .... offside play by several Wellington players. Faiane opts for the scrum 5m out.

51mins - Penalty for Auckland on halfway. Aumua pinged for a tackle off the ball. Lineout 10m out for Auckland.

49mins - Great touch finder by Garden-Bachop - lineout Auckland on halfway.

47mins - Fifita does a great job coming through the middle of the maul and holds up the drive. Defensive scrum 5m for Wellington.

46mins - Penalty for Auckland inside the Lions 22..... Kirifi pinged for offside play, Lineout 5m for Auckland.

44mins - A couple turnovers in that passage of play .... high tackle by Perenara and Auckland have a penalty. But Plummer can't find touch. Criminal.

43mins - Turnover on halfway for Auckland. Choat over the ball and Aso pinged for holding on. Lineout midway halfway and 22 for the blue and whites.

41mins - Early penalty for Auckland .... Plummer finds touch just inside Lions territory.

Second-half: Auckland have plenty of work to do to get out of this with a second win of the season. Garden-Bachop gets us back underway.

40+2mins - Try Wellington: Pepesana Patafilo - Great set play again. Midfield scrum and Goosen glides through a gap...brought down but there are huge numbers to the right. Ball through the hands and the left winger is over to score. Garden-Bachop adds the extras from out wide. WEL 29-14

37mins - Try Auckland: Jonathan Ruru - Wellington defend the lineout drive well ... but Auckland maintain control of the ball. Several pick n go's and eventually Ruru takes a stab and reaches out to score. WEL 22-14

36mins - Kick and chase from AJ Lam for Rieko Ioane .... Goosen is there to tidy up but it'll be a lineout 5m for Auckland.

35mins - Adian Choat wins the turnover penalty for the blue and whites and they survive this time.

33mins - Another penalty. Ruru offside at the ruck. Lineout 8m out for Wellington.

32mins - Akira Ioane tackles Aso in the air and Wellington will attack again with a lineout just outside the Auckland 22. There is only one team in this at the moment.

30mins - Try Wellington: Billy Proctor - Perfect scrum move from the Lions ... Proctor runs around the back and gasses a couple defenders on the outside to score. WEL 22-7

28mins - Wellington go close again as Blackwell crashes over but referee has found a forward pass in the buildup. Penalty for the Lions however and they opt for the scrum 5m.

27mins - TJ Perenara is in complete control of this game ... he's running the Aucklanders ragged.

25mins - Scrum Wellington just shy of their 22 ..... Apisai knocks the ball on in contact.

23mins - Try Wellington: Peter Umaga-Jensen - Under advantage for a lineout infringement ..... Perenara kicks for Umaga-Jensen and he wins the race for the ball and scores under the posts. WEL 17-7

22mins - Lineout penalty for the Lions just outside their own 22. Garden-Bachop finds touch about 30m out from the Auckland line.

19mins - Auckland on attack, but Kirifi shuts that down and wins a turnover ... Perenara kicks and finds touch midway halfway and 22 Auckland territory.

17mins - Try Wellington: Wes Goosen - Horrible defensive read from Trainor. Auckland scrum is good, but Perenara gets the ball out quickly to Garden-Bachop and he cross-kicks for Goosen who has acres of space to himself .. he calmly collects the ball and dots down. Trainor was nowhere. WEL 10-7

15mins - Great chip and chase by Garden-Bachop .... Trainor and Plummer do their best to tidy up but it'll be a Lions 5m scrum.

10mins - Try Wellington: Vince Aso - Auckland get the ball back and are back up beyond halfway .... Faiane gets a hand free and pops an offload, but Aso collects the ball and has a free passage to the goalline and he runs in for the try. AUK 7-5

9mins - Auckland play through 17 phases .... Ruru sights a half gap anbd throws a speculator back inside that Perenara grabs and the No.9 heads off up field.

5mins - Try Auckland: Leni Apisai - Lineout drive is good and Apisai powers over as Auckland roll through the Wellington defence. AUK 7-0

4mins - Lineout 5m for Auckland

3mins - Plummer pushes it wide - he's be disappointed with that.

2mins - Wellington offside in the midfield and Plummer will have an early shot from a handy spot.

1min - Early lineout for Auckland midway halfway and 22 in Weelington territory.

Kick-off - James Doleman is the today's refereee and Harry Plummer gets the game underway.

4:24pm - Julian Savea will start from the bench, with Patafilo starting. Savea has a minor injury complaint.
