60 mins - TRY CANTERBURY - Fantastic 80m effort from the red and blacks, led by Burke and finsihed by Fihaki, who strides out the final 30m to claim his second try.

58 mins - TRY CANTERBURY - Harmon sparks another raid with a break in the midfield, and Burke flings a ball wide to cash in on a glaring overlap, Chay Fihaki jogs it into the corner.

41 mins - Error by the Turbos right from the kick off and they're immediately under pressure. Canterbury knock on lets them off the hook.

HALFTIME - Despite the Turbo's dominance of both possession and territory, they head into the sheds down 10 and without a point to their name.

37 mins -TRY CANTERBURY - Fihaki pounces on a sloppy Turbos kick, sprints to the outside and puts Poihipi over out wide. Burke converts from out wide.

36 mins - Knewstubb intercept at this own 22m, bursts down the right flank, beats one and they're at the Turbos 22m. Brilliant turnover at the ensuing ruck saves the Turbos.

33 mins - Booth dances through half a gap, and the Turbos are back inside the Canterbury 22m. Stray pass bounbces into Canterbury's hands but the next pass is forward. Scrum Turbos near the Canterbury 10m.

31 mins - Penalty Canterbury again, and they can't turn down a gift three points here. Finally we have some points on the board!

30 mins - Punivai with a strong carry, as Canterbury move inside the 22m. Penalty advantage cashed in. Into the corner it goes, 5m lineout.

22 mins - Booth intercepts, breaks down the right edge, dragged down just short of the line. Turbos hot on attack...Knewstubb strips and they clear back to halfway.

13 mins - Harmon with another superb break. Canterbury building now. Penalty goes their way. Burke will have a shot here, surprisingly enough. Tricky one here, 45m out on the angle but with the wind at his back...sends it wide right.

11 mins - Harmon breaks! Gets as far as the 22m but runs out of support, forces a pass but it's gone to ground. Turbos scrum.

10 mins - Penalty Canterbury. They'll throw the lineout near halfway, first real opportunity for some possession.

9 mins - Mistake at the lineout and the Turbos have another great chance to attack from a 22m scrum.

7 mins - Huge period of possession for the Turbos ends at 26 phases as the ball spills into touch. Lineout at the Canterbury 22m.

6 mins - 14 phases now for the Turbos but the Canterbury defence is holding firm.

5 mins - Turbos building nicely, edging their way to the 22m, eight phases deep now...

Kia ora, folks, and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Mitre 10 Cup clash between Manawatu and Canterbury.

Central Energy Trust Arena is the venue for tonight's contest, with Manawatu looking to pick up their first win of the season after four tough losses to start their campaign. 

Canterbury are coming off the back of their nail-biting overtime 31-26 win over Wellington last week. 

Headlining the Turbos side is former All Black fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder. Manawatu have made two changes to their starting side with wings Adam Boult and Nigel Ah Wong coming into the 15. On the bench, Tom Hughes looks set for his first game of the season. 

Canterbury have made eight changes to their team, with the majority of them in the forward pack. 

Coach Ruben Thorne has named a brand-new front row, with Sam Darry at lock and Billy Harmon and Whetukamokamo Douglas also included. In the backs, Ere Enari and Andrew Knewstubb have also been added to the 15. 

Newly named All Black Cullen Grace returns to the side to take his place on the bench.
