State of Origin 2020: NSW axe six players for do or die Origin II clash

The Blues have responded from their shock loss in Origin I, making six changes to their side, with the biggest casualty being Luke Keary for Wednesday night's game two in Sydney.

Keary has been axed in a NSW shake-up as Brad Fittler unveiled a 21-man squad for his side’s must-win Origin II clash with Queensland, following the Maroons 18-14 win in Adelaide.

Fitler has had a make-over in the forwards, and on the bench after Cameron Murray and captain Boyd Cordner were both ruled out for the remainder of the series.

New South Wales fullback James Tedesco is set to captain the Blues in their must-win game two encounter with the Maroons after Boyd Cordner was ruled out.

Cody Walker has been named at five-eighth, Angus Crichton will start in the second row for Cordner and Payne Haas will start at prop.

Dale Finucane returns to the team via the bench after playing in last year’s series, while Nathan Brown and Isaah Yeo are in line to make their state debuts.

For the Maroons, fullback AJ Brimson has been ruled out of the series after suffering a foot injury in the opening game. He is replaced by Valentine Holmes, who was suspended for the contest in Adelaide. 

Canberra's Dunamis Lui will make his debut at prop coming in for the injured Christian Welch.

The big casualty from Queensland impressive win is Coen Hess, who has been dropped from the 17 completely, with Jaydn Su'A promoted into the side. 

Gisbourne born Moeaki Fotuaika comes onto the bench and in line to make his debut.
