Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of Manawatū v Hawke's Bay from Central Energy Trust Arena, Palmerston North.
After winning six of their first seven games in 2021, Hawke's Bay have proven to be the team to beat so far in this year's NPC.
The Magpies are odds-on to finish top of the pile in the Premiership's regular season, and would take top spot into the semi-finals starting in a couple of weeks' time.
Tonight is Hawke's Bay's final competitive match of the round-robin stage, with next week's encounter with Northland being a non-competition match.
Manawatū on the other hand are second in the NPC's Championship, with four wins from their seven matches played.
With no chance of catching championship leaders Taranaki, victory would at the very least consolidate second place for the Turbos, and help secure a semi-final spot.
