All Blacks v Ireland: Irish flanker Peter O'Mahony delivers brutal tryline insult to NZ captain Sam Cane

All Blacks' captain Sam Cane needs no reminding of the great New Zealand skippers gone before him, but that didn't stop Ireland loose forward Peter O'Mahony from taking a shot at him.

Down 23-7 with just 14 players on the field and a few minutes to go, it seemed it couldn't have got any worse for the hosts, but up stepped the veteran Munsterman.

The All Blacks were right on the Ireland tryline before a stop in play saw Cane and O'Mahony get into a scuffle near the goal posts, needing to be separated.

But it's what was picked up on referee Jaco Peyper's microphone that caught the attention.

"Who do you think you are? You're a sh*t Richie McCaw pal," O'Mahony is reported to have told the New Zealand skipper during the altercation.

Cane has come under-fire for his performances from pundits and fans alike, but it seems he can't even escape criticism from his fellow rugby players.

O'Mahony was one of Ireland's standout performers in their historic win at Dunedin, which included an incredible 50:22 kick to pin the hosts back.
