*******

Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the second T20 international between New Zealand and West Indies at Kingston's Sabina Park.

The Blackcaps emerged from the series opener two days ago with a 13-run victory, punctuated by big hitting from both sides in the final overs.

Captain Kane Williamson led the way with the bat, accumulating 47 runs off 33 balls, with Jimmy Neesham smashing an unbeaten 33 off 15 balls at the end. Mitch Santner's wily spin accounted for 3/19 with the ball and a man-of-the-match performance.

The Windies are past world champions at this format and showed they're capable of exploding at any time, especially with the bat, with Romario Shepherd (31 off 16 balls) and Odean Smith (27 off 12) the aggressors.

This three-match series is part of both team's build-up for the T20 World Cup in October - West Indies have twice won this crown in the past decade, while the Blackcaps lost to Australia in the previous final last year.
