Rugby: All Blacks prop Nepo Laulala joins post-World Cup exodus to French club

All Blacks prop Nepo Laulala seems poised to take up a contract with a French club, after this year's Rugby World Cup in the same country.

Laulala, 32, has logged 45 tests for the national side, debuting against his native Samoa in 2015, and made 113 Super Rugby appearances for the Crusaders (2012-15), Chiefs (2016-20) and Blues (2021-23).

The Blues have confirmed Laulala's exit on a social media post, farewelling their departing players next season, including fellow internationals Beauden Barrett, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Alex Hodgman.

"Reunited with the 'Big Uce' in France," said the post.

Laulala has been included in the just-named All Blacks' Rugby Championship squad, along with fellow front-rowers Ethan de Groot, Tyrel Lomax, Fletcher Newell, Ofa Tu'ungafasi and Tamaiti Williams.
