Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the second test between the Blackcaps and Australia at Christchurch's Hagley Oval.
After their 172-run defeat at Wellington last week, New Zealand need to win this encounter to square the two-match series and actually have a great chance of achieving that.
With their batters finally firing - four of them reaching half centuries - they compiled their best innings of the series to set a target of 279 runs for Austalia and then removed their top four batters before stumps on day three.
They will want to chip out the two remaining batters - Mitch Marsh and Travis Head - before exposing out-of-form wicketkeeper Alex Carey and the bowlers.
New Zealand have not beaten Australia in a test since 2011 at Hobart and you can go back 31 years since they last achieved that on home soil.
Significantly, betting odds that have favoured Australia throughout this contest have swung back to the Kiwis.
