Women's 5000m heats - Camille Buscomb, 14th 15m 24.39s (did not progress)

Women's shot put qualifying - Dame Val Adams, 6th 18.83m  & Madison-Lee Wesche, 11th 18.65m (both progress to final on August 1)

BOXING

Men's heavyweight quarter-finals - David Nyika beat Uladzislau Smiahlikau (Belarus) on unanimous points (into semi-final on August 3)
