Air New Zealand has been named one of the best airlines in the world for in-flight entertainment, according to research from popular flight booking website Globehunters.com.
Its analysis compared economy class products across airlines offering long-haul flights from around the world, as well as the price and accessibility of WiFi.
Turkish Airlines topped the list, with its offering of live television, in-flight movies and a cost of around NZ$23 for on-board WiFi, while Air NZ came fourth.
The world's best airlines for inflight entertainment in 2020:

- Emirates
- American Airlines
- Air New Zealand
- Etihad
- Lufthansa
- Air China
- China Southern Airlines
- Air Canada
- Singapore Airlines
Emirates and American Airlines were both placed second due to the live television options on-board and affordable WiFi, costing just NZ$1 more than on Turkish Airlines.
Four of the airlines in the top 20 offer free WiFi access - Air NZ, Air China, China Southern Airlines and Qantas.
Live television is available on Turkish Airlines, Emirates, American Airlines, Etihad and Lufthansa.
At the bottom of the list for internet connectivity was LATAM Airlines, which doesn't offer any WiFi at all in economy class.
