Ultra-low-cost airline Ryanair has posted a hilarious and very on-brand response on Twitter to Air New Zealand's new Skynest economy beds and economy seats with extra legroom.

The airline tweeted "Before you ask, no" in response to a post from Air NZ promoting their new cabin products.

Earlier this week Air New Zealand announced a complete overhaul of its onboard seating options from economy right through to business class.

Ryanair is notorious for embracing its place at the cheap end of the market, and this mantra was on full display when the airline was asked about whether it intended to introduce any sort of economy bed product.

"How many shit wire 3 tier bucks can you fit into a 737? Asking for a friend," Stephen Jury asked the airline.

"(The friend is us btw)" Ryanair responded.

Ryanair has used its Twitter account to double-down on its image of being a low-cost carrier, seemingly endorsing all aspects of low-cost travel.

"Looking for lounges at the airport like I'm not flying Ryanair," Omari Allen tweeted earlier in the week.

"Hi Omari, you must have just missed it. Please make your way to the 'Starbucks' Suite, enjoy!" the airline said in response.

Ryanair has previously made headlines following reports it would charge passengers to use the bathrooms, and that it was developing 'standing-up seats' in order to fit more people into an aircraft.
