Air New Zealand has launched a sale on airfares between Auckland and Rarotonga for economy, premium economy and business class tickets for travel between January 30 and March 27, 2024.
The popular Cook Islands route is also serviced by Australian low-cost airline Jetstar, among others.
Unless sold out prior, the ex-Auckland one-way airfares will be available for 72 hours, while the return ex-Rarotonga airfares will be available for one week.
Auckland-Rarotonga - on sale until October 4
- Economy: $255
- Premium economy: $410
- Business Premier: $570.
Rarotonga-Auckland - on sale until October 9
- Economy: $208
- Premium economy: $363
- Business Premier: $523.
Potential customers should carefully check the terms and conditions, such as the advertised economy ticket prices not including checked baggage.
"These are some of our lowest fares available to the Islands, giving customers the chance to experience the tropics at affordable prices," said Air NZ short haul general manager Jeremy O'Brien.
"January-March is an ideal time to visit the Cook Islands - temperatures average around 26C and any summer rain is typically in the form of brief tropical showers. What's more, the summer months are generally quieter on the islands, so you won't be fighting anyone for a pool lounger!"
Air NZ also lists other Pacific Island destinations with varying travel dates as being on sale until midnight Wednesday, including the following one-way, seat-only economy airfares departing Auckland:

- Tonga: $245
- Niue: $250
- Fiji: $260
- Samoa: $270
- Tahiti: $350.
