Facebook, WhatsApp issues resolved

Issues on the apps Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have been resolved.

Reports of problems loading posts and photos on the apps began on Thursday morning, and Facebook soon confirmed the issues in a tweet.

"We’re aware that some people are having trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps.

"We're sorry for the trouble and are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible."

It announced later in the morning the issues had been resolved and everyone's apps should be operating as normal.

"Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps.

"The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100% for everyone. We're sorry for any inconvenience."

It's the second time in a year Facebook and WhatsApp have faced major technological troubles, after experiencing their longest ever outage in March.

The outage lasted for hours, causing major trouble for both the platforms and those who wanted to post on them.
