Person caught on camera dressing up as a bush to escape COVID-19 quarantine

Some people are handling the near global orders to stay home in their stride but others are looking for any way possible to bend the rules - including a serious game of dress up.

One such person has been captured on camera dressed up as a bush to try and sneak out of the house.

Nicholas Murray and Madeline Mai-Davies, a young couple from Stevenage in the UK, caught their crafty neighbour on their way down to the shops.

In the video the neighbour is dressed head to toe in foliage as they creep past houses onto the road.

The camera follows them as they duck down next to bushes and commando crawl across the street - clearly playing up to bring some comic relief.

The neighbour then returns, presumably from the shop, and rolls across the driveway before scurrying back into the house.

The couple uploaded their footage to video app TikTok where it quickly went viral.

"Looking back, I didn’t expect the video to go that viral and get 16.5 million views," Murray told Caters News.

"Whilst in this difficult time we want to bring smiles, laughs and hope."

The UK is currently battling against COVID-19 with more than 25,000 confirmed cases.

Everyone is being urged to remain in their homes unless they have to go out for essential items such as medicine and food.
