The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reported to have signed with an elite public speaking agency in a lucrative career move.

Sources for the LA Times say the couple signed with the Harry Walker Agency, which also counts the Obamas, Clintons, Serena and Venus Williams, and Oprah Winfrey as clients.

The agency secures motivational and keynote speaking engagements, with the firm's current clients said to earn up to six-figure sums for an appearance.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to hold "moderated discussions" and speeches to trade associations, businesses and community forums.

Their talks will focus on issues close to them, including racial injustice, gender equality, mental health and environmental concerns, the LA Times reported. They will also promote their new charitable foundation Archewell.

However, they are said to have no plans to accept any gigs that would discuss their royal life.

Harry and Meghan carried out their final engagement as senior members of the Royal Family in early March after announcing their plans to step back in January.

They had planned to split their time between the Uk and North American, where Meghan is from, and work to become financially independent.

The signing is set to be their first big career move since moving to Hollywood in late March.
