A social media influencer has been slammed for filming a video on a beach in Canggu, Bali, right next to a group preparing for a religious daily offering.

The woman was snapped doing squats in one-piece togs while another person filmed her. An onlooker also filmed the squats and shared it with local Instagram page @thecanggupole who posted it with the caption: "Ignorancers In The Wild".

The incident happened mere metres away from a traditional Canang Sari - a daily offering made by Balinese Hindus to the gods.

In the video the group preparing for the Canang Sari are dressed in traditional clothing, setting up to thank the Sang Widhi Wasa. According to thebalibible.com this practice is a way of thanking the gods for balance and peace.

Reaction to the video has blown up, with hundreds of Instagram users jumping on into the comments to chip in their two cents worth.

The general vibe is people do not agree with the influencer's actions with people labelling her as "ignorant" and "disrespectful".

An Instagram-user commented saying "The amount of disrespect...and f**ks not given", while another weighed in with "Ignorance and bad manners".

The comments go on as some people critique her judgement "Sorry for her lack of common sense", and "Her brain may have fallen off somewhere".

Since the clip was posted just five days ago, it has been viewed 56000 times.
